Build a Cheese Knife Class

In this class, eight participants will sand, polish and finish a wood and epoxy handle. This step will develop a unique grain figure in burl wood. After attaching the handle to the high-carbon steel blade, students will sharpen and polish the blade. Add this one-of-a-kind tool to your charcuterie kit!

Dwayne Burbridge, a blacksmith, bladesmith and teacher at Carlisle High School, will lead the class in finishing the knives forged in his workshop. The combination of polished high-carbon steel, figured burl wood and colorful epoxy is sure to create a quality, eye-catching knife that will create interest and conversation at your next social event!
